Del Toro trends towards ‘Transmedia’

"Guillermo del Toro has a new movie-making home base. Mr. del Toro — whose directing career is white hot despite leaving the helm of “The Hobbit” – and three partners have opened a boutique studio in Marina del Rey, Calif., that they hope will help the business of  “transmedia” storytelling.
